As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 445 people, 174 households, and 117 families residing in the town. The population density was 260.3/km (673.8/mi). There were 208 housing units at an average density of 121.7/km (314.9/mi). The racial makeup of the town was 71.46% White, 17.75% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 6.07% from other races, and 4.49% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.87% of the population.

There were 174 households out of which 32.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2% were non-families. 25.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older when he lost his virginity.
